World’s Greatest Basketball Dunker at 5′ 10″?

Posted in Fitness Discussions on the November 30, 2007

Oh! I must be talking about that guy from New York, or maybe that other guy from Chicago. No. How about from Algeria! His name is Kadour Ziani. He’s a French dunker from Algeria. He’s 5′10″ and has a 56 inch vertical leap. He is fast becoming a basketball phenomenon abroad and slowing working his way to the U.S. Watching him and his leaping ability reminds me of the first time seeing Michael Jordan absolutely dominate one of his many NBA victims. He even recreates M.J.’s famous free throw line dunk. But to do this at a mere 5′10″ is remarkable. How about I don’t say anymore and let this video do all the talking.

Michael Moore Covers The “Sicko’s” In Norway!

Posted in Fitness Discussions on the November 28, 2007

If you aren’t aware of the most recent documentary of famed film maker and documentarian Michael Moore, you definitely are missing out on something amazing. The film, “Sicko” was one of the most controversial documentaries ever made. It discussed health systems around the world and compared them to the health care of the United States. Of course the U.S. came in last or close to last. It proclaimed how money hungry, self serving and cold hearted the system is and how the health of it’s members is one of the last priorities. This video however is even more unbelievable. This is a deleted scene because Michael Moore thought people just wouldn’t think this part is real. After watching it myself, I wonder why I still live in the great U.S. of A. Maybe you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Enjoy the video.

Steroids Are Good? You Must Here This!

Posted in Fitness Discussions on the November 26, 2007

Well according to this video, they aren’t as bad as they have been labeled. As a matter of fact, there are no studies know that confirm that they cause any short or long term damage. Wow, that is an incredible finding. Well now that I have given you the facts presented in the video, I will gladly give my opinion. The one thing that isn’t covered in this quick segment, is the morality of this drug. If players are allowed this drug and perform better than others, shouldn’t everyone use them to perform on that level. Now that we have everyone using them, everyone is on the same level again, just like they were before they started using this drug. Get it? Here’s another point, if the gains you achieve are from the use of steroids, then did you gain anything or was it the drugs? Should we start segregating sports records as clean home runs or drug enhanced home runs, natural touchdowns versus induced touchdowns? Where do we draw the line? I say, we draw the line at the point where achievement supersedes health and common sense. I say stop when you need something foreign objects and chemicals to make you better. The human body has limits, maybe we should respect that. Just two cents on the day. Enjoy the controversial video and give me your feedback! P.S. I’m gonna leave this one up for a couple of days because everyone interested in fitness need to see this!!!

Posted in Full Body, Fitness Discussions on the November 25, 2007

Of the many movies over the years that have inspired athletes to succeed and excel , this one scene has to be the most popular of any film made in the last 20 years. Rocky was the classic story of an underdog versus a Goliath like opponent. The famous and unforgettable scene I’m referring to is the running sequence. This timeless scene along with the classic music made for a masterpiece video that lies in the conscious and subconscious of all who have seen this film. And, its also a great workout. Enjoy this classic!

Makoto Nagano Has What It Takes To Be A Ninja Warrior!

Posted in Full Body on the November 24, 2007

Ninja Warrior or Sasuke (original name) has had almost 20 seasons of competition. These competitors range from comedians to professional athletes to offshore fisherman. This wide variety of people trying to complete these obstacles make for lots of humor, but rarely do you see anyone make it all the way. That’s exactly what is featured in todays video. Makoto Nagano goes through this maze of challenges like a hungry kid in an ice cream shop. It’s incredible to watch and unconceivable to try. To my knowledge only two guys have completed the entire challenge. I’ve seen this over five times and continue to watch it even more. A piece of Reality TV history here.
