Are You Ready For Combat?

Posted in Full Body, Core Training on the November 2, 2007

If you’re not, you might want to take a lesson from the guys over at Combative Conditioning. Everyone knows I have a fetish for new exercises. I just love them, so when I saw this video, I had to post it. This wasn’t the planned video for the day, but some of these exercises are too good to pass on. This is a video of martial art exercises or Combative Conditioning as they refer to it. It features lots of pulling movements as well as some explosive elements very similar to plyometric workouts. I love the towel hang pull-up. They feature it as an exercise to get into the guard position of grappling, which is really critical in that martial art. Not trying to getting to technical here, so enjoy this video because its a great workout and some of it can easily be added to your routine. Work hard!!

Do You Have The Funk?

Posted in Full Body on the November 2, 2007

If not, you may want to consult a funk professional. It would be even better if the consultant had a cool name. How about Funk Roberts and his Funkadelic Jump Work Out. OK, I’m sure this sounds kinda humorous until you actually watch the video. Not only is this a weight free Street Workout (had to throw that in), but it’s got some challenging aspects as well. The sand workout portion is not easy at all. This is a great summer routine as well, so all you warm climate beach heads, definitely give this a try. This is a workout that can be done by any skill level as well so, work hard and enjoy.
