Of course it is, at any age. I personally believe that first steps of fitness should be at home. Once a routine is worked out and confidence is built up, that is time to venture to a gym. Also when your home may not have all the item you need for your workouts. It is very possible to outgrow your gym, so of course it’s possible to outgrow home workouts. Especially when heavy weights become a need. In this video, Jeff Wooten demonstrates a very good variety of exercises from beginner movements to advance workouts. I really liked the pistol with the assistance of a wall. This is an extremely difficult exercise that intimidates many, but Jeff’s solution is excellent. Try out some of these exercises and leave some feedback if these work for you. Bye.
I am standing by my original statement that “Parkour/freerunning” is by far, the most interesting extreme sport/culture that has come into fame in the last decade. Although it still remains a French dominated lifestyle, it is slowly spreading worldwide. It is the defined as moving from one point to another in the quickest most efficient manor. The freerunning is where the flips and the showmanship steps in which is an added bonus to many fans, but frowned upon by some Parkour originators. Arguments aside, it is incredible to watch and even more inconceivable to try by us average humans. Enjoy this video, it will amaze as usual.
Vegetarians around the world are thought of as the most disciplined people for their extreme diets. Vegans are even more of a strange fruit (not pun) when it comes to food restrictions. But now there is something even more extreme, a raw vegan? A person that eats only uncooked foods, i.e. vegetables and fruits. This video discusses whether this diet concept is healthy or just plain crazy. You will get an introduction to both sides of this discussion and hear the pros and the cons. Whether this is something that you can do or something you would never consider, it is worthy of discussion and a great possibility for those who have the extreme discipline. Good or bad, enjoy the video and the debate. Happy holidays.
With exercise, this is an age old question. When is too much, too much? When it stops benefiting the person working out and becomes detrimental. When someone works themselves into an ill state. Working out is addictive and can become an easy obsession. The video in this feature however is not indicative of this negative behavior. It is just simply a hardcore workout. There is a fine line, but this isn’t bad. This is just good old fashion hard work, which dispensed properly never really hurt anyone. Enjoy this discussion and draw your own conclusions.
I have run across hundreds of videos all claiming that 5, 6, 8 minute abs are a possibility if you try out some new system or buy some DVD. The reality is, without a almost perfect diet, great genetics or workout regimen of the Gods, it’s not gonna happen. These is no exercise that will ever give you a six pack of abs unless you have extremely low body fat. There also is no way to reduce stomach fat without losing total body fat. Once those facts are digested, the rest is plain reasoning. Ab workouts do work in combination with diet and cardio. With all that being said, I do have a great video of a home ab workout that has some pretty good and innovative exercises only using a couch. So, eat right, run on a treadmill, and then do your ab routine. Enjoy.
