12 Jump Rope Variations To Burn 1000 Calories

Posted in Full Body on the January 30, 2008

As everyone knows, this is my favorite type of cardio, but did you realize that there are hundreds of variations in which to do this age old exercise. I am actually really getting into stationary bikes now, but this workout never gets old to me. It seems the more you jump rope, the more techniques you learn, which makes you want to jump even more. This video is very good because it starts off just like a beginner should. It starts with the two foot standard jump (bunny hop) and gets more advanced from there. This will really help those trying to work the jump rope into their routine and my be a little intimidated. It takes maybe a 3-4 weeks to really get it going, but once you’ve started, you won’t stop. Learn some of the tricks and give it a try, you have nothing to loose but fat.

Worst Fast Food Items.

This would almost be considered an oxymoron. What fast food is actually healthy? Well this video will give you a good idea of what not to eat. It breaks down calorie consumption really well as well as gives details on fat. This is also informative for those trying to loss some weight through some type of deficit diet. They do work but most end up cheating or eating fast food due to time constraints. Listen to this video and try to make better decisions. It will help you make the right choice, even if that means go home and cook. Enjoy.

How fit could you be with 98?

Posted in Fitness Discussions on the January 26, 2008

This is a great question for those of us in the US. Our diets on a whole are so poor, that 98% of us won’t be around to even partake in that discussion. Although diet and genetics have a great deal to do with longevity, stress plays a major role in our society. Earning great amounts of money rather than loving families has become the value system of our country. This video is a perfect example of longevity and some of the elements it takes to get to that point. Although most can’t, it is something to strive towards. Enjoy the video. If I find the whole documentary, I will post it.

Bodybuilding: A Natural Journey

Posted in Fitness Discussions on the January 20, 2008

This is a very good documentary about 3 young people starting their lives as bodybuilders. This documentary discusses topics such as steroids, pressures of the competition, and issues that plague all young people. It’s in three parts so I decided to post all three pieces at once. These are also all natural competitions featured here as well. I have always been a fan of documentaries and this one is no different. Enjoy.

Hardcore and I Do Mean Core!!

Posted in Core Training on the January 19, 2008

Core fitness is a base in which much of the bodies strength comes from. Strengthening your core is a workout that you will feel more than see, which is also why is has a tendency to be overlooked in many workouts. This video below has some excellent exercises that will tighten up any midsection no matter what the condition. This video also gets to the obliques and includes some shoulders in the workout as well. This is a very good combination of exercises and will challenge even the most fit athlete when done correctly. Enjoy and work on those cores. You only get one!
