I know what you all are saying before you even say it. More jump rope? Yes! It is my favorite cardio exercise, for many reasons. It can be done anywhere at just about any time. It’s free. It doesn’t take machinery or time to set up. It can be done indoors or out, which makes it more convenient than anything that I can currently think of. Does that sell it enough or should I go on. It is a great way to really get a good sweat going as well as get that heart rate up which is essential for a good cardio workout. This video features a guy that is very skilled at this art. For all you beginners, don’t be intimidated. Just start with basic jumps, the first being with both legs together and a single leap up (a bunny hop like jump). Once that is mastered, you are on your way. Learn and enjoy this age old fitness exercise.
