I get a ton of questions on my website and even more on my blog, but surprisingly, the place where I get asked the most questions is during my workouts. One of the biggest inquiries I’m asked is what supplements do I use. I give them a couple of suggestions that I think will benefit most people generally, but always tell them this is just my opinion. The reason I say this is because of one, the law, and two, what’s shown in the documentary below. Once the FDA was taken out of the equation of the pre-approving supplements, you don’t really know what you are getting. That’s exactly what you will see in the video and hopefully it will open some eyes to this volatile industry littered with companies marketing unsafe products for a quick buck. There are a ton of great supplements out there. Take your time and use good judgment to find them. Remember to use common sense and ask questions. Enjoy the video.
Ok y’all. This is the actual day. The day when I completely come out and say what’s been on my mind for a while. I am getting old. That’s right, I said it. I’m old. So old, that now technology actually impresses me. I thought I had a cool cellphone until I saw the applications or apply named “apps” from I-Phone. They have a app for just about anything you name, but an application to add in weight loss. Wow. This app will help you loose weight and get that ever illusive six pack stomach so many people crave. The video below will also give you some great workouts that will add in this goal. Getting a six pack is really about diet more than anything else, so focus on your diet people. Enjoy the video, get the app if it will help, but stay focused to those diets, and enjoy the warm weather.
Of the many fitness phenomenons that come and go, and infomercials that become white noise in the background of our minds like that a smoke detector needing a fresh battery, the Bartendaz have officially proven themselves to be not in this category. I was a true believer in the Youtube years, but now that they have had starring roles in videos with the likes of Warren G, The Lox, Ludacris and have had features on such nationwide shows as “The Doctor’s” and now CNN, and The Bartendaz are no longer just a workout group. They are a movement like they have always said they were. Here are a couple of their videos showing the growth from just a “Giant Thinking” exercise group to a movement of philosophical and inspirational life mentors. Enjoy.
In the fitness world, complacency is the knife in the back of any fair weather fitness associate. When a workout gets into the realm of the humdrum, it yields less results, produces a distinct lack of interest and promotes a defeatist attitude. A true staple of home fitness is the pull up. It works so many muscles and is a raw producer of strength in the entire upper body. The only problem is that so many individuals under utilize this exercise in the variety of variations that can be done. Put simply, make it interesting y’all. These videos below will show you many of the different movements this age old workout can benefit. From stabilizing muscles to the obliques, this exercise can work it all from the waist up and hopefully these videos will inspire and inform my viewers to add this fundamental exercise back into their regimens.
Of the countless subjects I cover here at the Street Workout Blog, none are more important than the affairs of our health. In this microcosm we call the world, this may not be such a compelling issue due to the health systems abroad being superior to what we proud Americans have been bestowed. Most Americans didn’t realize the situation was this bad, or better yet, we didn’t realize how good others have it. When this infamous Michael Moore documentary first emerged, it was met with a ton of disapproval. Amazing how the truth hurts isn’t it? Sicko is and always will be one of my favorite documentaries. For those who have been living under a rock or comatose like a soap opera leading man, this is one of the most intense and enlightening pieces of film you will ever see.
