One of the most sought after commodities in the male psyche, behind the everlasting pursuit of the fairer sex would have to be a pair of massive guns. No, I’m not referring to the guns that are loved by NRA members like a mother to a child, but the guns that bulge out of shirts that women do actually seem to love. That’s right, biceps. There are a tons of machines that claim to improve this favorite muscle of men yet none yield results that match old fashion hard work. However, with hard work does come the concept of working smarter and knowing some physiology. This video is exactly what many are looking for in their respective hunt for the perfect pair of biceps. Just the one small tip in this video will give many the ideals they need to understand that technique will produce results, not just heavy weight. Lee Hayward along with Dave Ruel let you see a personal workout that makes you understand why they are the professionals that they are. Enjoy the video, absorb the tip and try it. It may get you over those arms you dream about. Enjoy.

Jump Rope Without the Jumping!

It’s seems as if fitness guru’s all over the world have invented just about everything there is to be conceived when it comes to exercise. There are ab blasters, butt busters, chest boosters and back smashers. Do we really need any other innovations beyond what we already have? Well, yeah, why not? I think honestly, without preaching, many of the fitness machines that are forged today are useless, but modifications in old favorites can be a breath of fresh air in a proverbial land fill world. The variation here is a new method of the traditional jump rope. It can be done with a normal jump rope but can be elevated to a heavy rope and works more on strength than the usual cardio aspects. Although it is something new, it really isn’t. These are patterns that advanced jumpers use anyway, but the focus has been placed more on the different patterns rather than the actual jumping. This I have to say is actually pretty cool and I will be giving this a serious try. It also helps that it’s coming from David Weck, the actual inventor of the BOSU ball. Check out the video and see if it’s something worth giving a whirl, literally.

For Those Who Doubt That Women Can Do Bodyweight Workouts….

Posted in Full Body on the November 2, 2009

With the many cultures of fitness that are prominent today, sometimes here at Street Workout we have to remember to take it back to the essence of what Street Workout originally meant. This ideal of a full body workout without the need of a gym that can be done anywhere at any time is our goal we try to extend to the world. With that being said, sometimes this message fails to reach a specific population of our audience. Women! They tend to believe that this workout philosophy doesn’t work for the female anatomy. Of course that is completely wrong, but another incorrect believe is that the workouts are too hard for them to do. This too is amiss. Not only can women do bodyweight workouts, but this video is the perfect example of a woman that takes our doctrine and runs with it. She does some exercises that to me some time to work up to, so watch and learn ladies. You to can benefit from bodyweight exercises just like men. Enjoy the video y’all. P.S. The main Street Workout website is slill down due to my computer issues, so please be patient and understanding in my troubles. Thanks.
