Jump Rope Without the Jumping!
It’s seems as if fitness guru’s all over the world have invented just about everything there is to be conceived when it comes to exercise. There are ab blasters, butt busters, chest boosters and back smashers. Do we really need any other innovations beyond what we already have? Well, yeah, why not? I think honestly, without preaching, many of the fitness machines that are forged today are useless, but modifications in old favorites can be a breath of fresh air in a proverbial land fill world. The variation here is a new method of the traditional jump rope. It can be done with a normal jump rope but can be elevated to a heavy rope and works more on strength than the usual cardio aspects. Although it is something new, it really isn’t. These are patterns that advanced jumpers use anyway, but the focus has been placed more on the different patterns rather than the actual jumping. This I have to say is actually pretty cool and I will be giving this a serious try. It also helps that it’s coming from David Weck, the actual inventor of the BOSU ball. Check out the video and see if it’s something worth giving a whirl, literally.

Well I am definitely terrible at doing the standard jump rope exercises. The Bosu looks really awesome! I would definitely want to give it a shot on the Bosu with some of the simple jump rope exercises. =D
Till then,
Jean
Also try getting stirrup treads that are metal grates instead of just rubber pads, they will grip your boots better. The heavy the stirrup irons the better. Also really good leather half chaps are a good way to start too.
WOW! I never would of imagined not jumping while jumping rope. This video kicks some serious butt. Thanks for the share.
This is speechless, how is he playing like this? I will take days but can’t even match to the 25% of what he is doing here. The Best…
The rolling ropes looks like a good cardio alternative for people with lower body joint problems. I can’t believe anyone would consider a 12 pound rope superior to any other form of resistance though!
Very nice post. I thought to let you know that you website isn’t getting displayed properly on msije-mobile ombile web browesr on my mobile phone.
Have a nice time..sorry for typing mistake
Jumping rope is great. I always jump rope for a good cardio workout. I have a 5-1 record in MMA, and never run. I just jump rope, and use elliptical machines. 5 minutes of jumping rope is equal to a set of tennis. So jump away my friend.
When your jumping rope your arms shouldn’t move just your wrist movements and try not jump like a kid in a play ground, YouTube - jump rope workout for a idea what to do.
i also do jump rope from time to time .. it’s good for cardio i think
