Martial Arts training can manifest itself into almost any fashion. It can be stretching movements to power building exercises. The one thing I have never seen in martial arts is the use of a sledgehammer. This video uses a sledgehammer to build forearm strength for different uses in Kung Fu. Some of these exercises look great and some look down right dangerous. Please proceed with some caution for all you adventurous individuals but do incorporate some of the concepts into what you do. We can all benefit from stronger forearms.
I haven’t just posted exercises on my blog for a long time. This blog is where I usually post discussions or documentaries for the most part. Today however, I will post some pull-ups. That’s right, some pull-ups. They are a bit different and I will be giving these a try this summer. I have done some variations close to these, but these are still unique. These have a Ninja Warrior feel to them, if you are familiar with the show. The stabilizing muscles are what really come into play here. Try these out with me and leave your comments on how you like them. If these are really useful, I will post more of them. Enjoy.
Most people can, a few times, but probably not as well as this guy. This is truly the essence of Street Workout and what it stands for. This is a guy out in the park, taking full advantage of a beautiful really getting an extreme routine done. These dips are advanced, hell, these are more like acrobatic than anything. The strength level needed to perform these skills is tremendous. He get arms, stomach, shoulders, and strengthens his entire core. Give this video a watch and use it as inspiration on how fitness can be taken to a good extreme.
Do you? Well not trying to beat a dead horse (hate that term by the way), Parkour has become a lifestyle and culture in other countries. To watch these young people do this style of acrobatic running is almost like watching art being made before your eyes. Like I also stated before, there is an entire section dedicated to this on the main Street Workout Site, so go check that out. In the meantime, you can get a feel for Parkour by just watching these extreme exercises in preparation for the actual sport. This workout will remind many of their childhood and things you used to do. Well trying them now is a whole different reality, trust me. Some of this workout is a bit advanced and I couldn’t recommend trying it on your own, but other aspects of the workout are achievable. If nothing, watch the videos for entertainment purposes, they are worth it.
If there is one thing at the top of most men’s wish list for this Christmas, other than a Playboy Bunny, it would probably be bigger arms. Bigger arms are one of the easiest ways to tell if a guy works out and are really appreciated by the opposite sex. The thing is most men go about getting these bigger arms in the wrong manner. Bigger arms are achieved by the biggest part of the arm, which is the tricep. The tricep makes up over 60% of the arm and really is the key that many overlook. This video below is almost comprehensive example of some foundation tricep exercises. Watch and learn. Maybe with this, you can still get that Playboy Bunny…………
