In the many questions people have concerning their respective diets, one of the most prevalently requested inquiries is “how much should I eat?” This is a not so easy to answer question, yet when asked to the master of fitness discussion videos, Steve Turano, it becomes an elementary examination. While suffering from an occasional bout of insomnia and letting the late night TV lull me into a mindless trance, I’m almost amazed at the gall of these infomercials shown at these ungodly hours. The nerve to actually still make the claims that they do in 2009 is just astonishing. Abs in 6 minutes, the ab roller, the ab swivel chair, and my personal favorite, electro-abs. The cajones it takes to out right lie to people and mislead individuals into sales that they can never actually gain from is just unbelievable. As many times as I have heard the truth told to people about how washboard abs work, is a fraction compared to the machines that are invented that claim to give perfect abs with only 10 minutes of use a day. This video below will hopefully put an end to the confusion, but then again, knowing that the ab machine market is a multimillion dollar industry, it won’t change anything. Enjoy the video anyway if anyone is listening…..
When the word “diet” is typed into Google, it yields 145,000,000 million results. So I guess it’s safe to say this is a popular subject. The problem is that, with this being such a hot topic, there is an abundance of ignorance that accompanies this subject. It’s also commonly said that “diets don’t work”. I’m here to not only totally disagree with that, but to also help educate individuals to understand the simple math behind the human body. This video below is a great starting place to help people categorize many food that work and don’t work. The body is a scale of simple calories in versus’ calories used. Understanding that simple principle will get most over a lot of misrepresentations and false advertisements. I would invite all people pursuing a greater level of fitness to read, read, and read some more. Education is the best fat loss tool! Enjoy the video.
This is a question that has been asked a million times by a million people. It’s actually surprising that so many individuals don’t know the health pro’s of fruit. The amazing thing is that most natural foods are good for you on some level. If it grows from the Earth, it’s a plus, compared to most of the diet of American’s in the past decade. Fruit contains so many vitamins and nutrients, that the sugar (natural sugar at that) that does accompany the ingestion is completely outweighed by the positive aspects. Fiber, antioxidants, low in fat, low in calories, and best of all, down right delicious are all reasons to up the fruit in someone’s diet. This video, albeit long, is a great tool to make people understand that natural foods, especially fruit can be a great way to lead to better health and not just a piece of candy that God made to satisfy our sweet palate. Enjoy the video.
This has been a long time question for any individuals seeking a better nutrition program to get those gains they’ve been working for. From my lifetime of reading, it’s been stated that the formula for protein consumption is about 0.8 to about 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight. This range is based on the level of activity and the amount of energy outgoing. The harder you work, the more protein you may need in that stated range. The issue is that most people don’t know this formula and what they may know (which is mostly wrong), they will apply incorrectly. This video gives a perfect example of individuals applying a knowledge base in an improper manner. They guys over at Underground Wellness have really been steppin’ their game up in the arena of spreading right knowledge, and breaking some of the many myths that have a strangle-hold on the minds of people seeking better fitness. Enjoy the video, and learn something.
