One of the most sought after commodities in the male psyche, behind the everlasting pursuit of the fairer sex would have to be a pair of massive guns. No, I’m not referring to the guns that are loved by NRA members like a mother to a child, but the guns that bulge out of shirts that women do actually seem to love. That’s right, biceps. There are a tons of machines that claim to improve this favorite muscle of men yet none yield results that match old fashion hard work. However, with hard work does come the concept of working smarter and knowing some physiology. This video is exactly what many are looking for in their respective hunt for the perfect pair of biceps. Just the one small tip in this video will give many the ideals they need to understand that technique will produce results, not just heavy weight. Lee Hayward along with Dave Ruel let you see a personal workout that makes you understand why they are the professionals that they are. Enjoy the video, absorb the tip and try it. It may get you over those arms you dream about. Enjoy.

It’s seems as if fitness guru’s all over the world have invented just about everything there is to be conceived when it comes to exercise. There are ab blasters, butt busters, chest boosters and back smashers. Do we really need any other innovations beyond what we already have? Well, yeah, why not? I think honestly, without preaching, many of the fitness machines that are forged today are useless, but modifications in old favorites can be a breath of fresh air in a proverbial land fill world. The variation here is a new method of the traditional jump rope. It can be done with a normal jump rope but can be elevated to a heavy rope and works more on strength than the usual cardio aspects. Although it is something new, it really isn’t. These are patterns that advanced jumpers use anyway, but the focus has been placed more on the different patterns rather than the actual jumping. This I have to say is actually pretty cool and I will be giving this a serious try. It also helps that it’s coming from David Weck, the actual inventor of the BOSU ball. Check out the video and see if it’s something worth giving a whirl, literally.

With the many cultures of fitness that are prominent today, sometimes here at Street Workout we have to remember to take it back to the essence of what Street Workout originally meant. This ideal of a full body workout without the need of a gym that can be done anywhere at any time is our goal we try to extend to the world. With that being said, sometimes this message fails to reach a specific population of our audience. Women! They tend to believe that this workout philosophy doesn’t work for the female anatomy. Of course that is completely wrong, but another incorrect believe is that the workouts are too hard for them to do. This too is amiss. Not only can women do bodyweight workouts, but this video is the perfect example of a woman that takes our doctrine and runs with it. She does some exercises that to me some time to work up to, so watch and learn ladies. You to can benefit from bodyweight exercises just like men. Enjoy the video y’all. P.S. The main Street Workout website is slill down due to my computer issues, so please be patient and understanding in my troubles. Thanks.

One of the most fundamental parts of the male workout is the pushup. The pushup is probably the most widely performed exercise done worldwide, but this leave many thinking there has to be more exercises to take ones chest to the next level. This video is a perfect example of the many exercises that can be done without the use of a gym or a ton of weights. Personal trainer to the stars, Jeff Cavaliere, does an inspiring chest routine that will define, and more importantly build the entire chest, from top to bottom. I have personally added a few of these exercises to my routine, my favorite being the standing one arm cable chest flies. Overall, this video will help you get ideas on new techniques and angles in which you can attack that chest and get the results that many have been seeking and haven’t yet accomplished. Enjoy the video and learn something new!

I got so much positive feedback from the Street Workout main page for the previous Parkour video, I thought it smart to post up another. The most visually stunning thing about Parkour is that these gentlemen do such incredible things in their own space. The feat that’s accomplished is one of mastery of each individuals balance and movements. These small motions combined to form not only a new sport but a culture that has become a world wide phenomenon. This video features a team out of Mexico, which only further my point of international appeal. This video also captures the sheer love for the sport the gentlemen have that are amazing onlookers attempting to casually pass, but are immediately stuck by the free show being offered.

I have a strict Street Workout rule, and that is that I don’t post the same videos here on the blog as I do at the main Street Workout site. However, today is an exception to the rule. This video warranted posting in both places, and you will soon see why. As you all know, I love Parkour. I love it because I find it amazingly primal yet so sophisticated at the same time. It’s like watching an urban rap version of the ballet. I haven’t posted a Parkour video here for a while because I hadn’t seen anything new. That is until now. THis has to be one of the best Parkour video I’ve ever seen. I rank this up there with the heroics of a David Bell. It’s always a delight to see people approach something common from an uncommon standpoint and make it all their own. That is what this band of young men accomplished in this video. With no further ado, here is Crazy Jump 100%, and you will understand why they call themselves this.

Of the thousands to possibly millions of Korean exports we get here in the U.S., I would have never guessed a muscle up video to be one of the most useful of these items to us here at Street Workout. The muscle up has been a long standing exercise that believe it or not, not many can do. How many times have you been to the gym and seen someone doing them? Not often if not ever. This is why I think this video completely warrants it’s posting today. Along with it coming from one of the most unexpected places, also makes this film post worthy. This gentleman documents his instructions from the practice phase all the way until the performance stage. He shows different angles, the motions and grips involved and even exercises to make you perform this feat better and more competent. Check out the video and go to your local park and practice. Once this is mastered, you will be the center of attention doing your local outdoor work routine.

To quickly (in 500 words or less) sum up Steve Turano’s contribution to the fitness world and all the people he has touched since starting his long time Youtube series, would be doing him a great disservice. He has quietly cornered the market on informative fitness, lifestyle, exercise and nutritional videos on the internet. Accomplishing this all without ever leaving the comfort of the pesky chair he sits in on every video. Imagine that. I trainer people and sweat until I’m wearing a virtual wet-suit, and still don’t get half the enlightenment across that he manages in a two minute video. This is the bestowal he selflessly gives to all his viewers. Cut and dry, raw honest truth, with a chaser of knowledge equaling that of an Ivy League Professor. If this isn’t enough, he dares to offer even more! Now he is giving a limited membership away to his BodyPerformanceTV website. He is giving this to all of his Youtube subscribers. Now that I’ve laid it on thick enough to triple wax coat a suburban, really, thanks for all of the info you’ve given to us all Steve. The video below will give more details , so check it out and enjoy more free things from one of the internet’s great trainers.

The internet is filled with videos of so called experts giving advise on how to be fit. The new fad seems to be bodyweight workouts, and although I have been a long time proponent of this philosophy, it has become a Youtube phenomenon. The key is to sift through the quantity for the quality. Rudy Reyes is one of those gentlemen offering definite quality. A career martial artist and long time athlete turned actor and fitness expert, Rudy displays his own passionate bodyweight fitness video. After about one minute of the video, you can just sense the level of professionalism and experience he displays in this 10 minute workout. From the warm up to the beginners and advance techniques shown, he covers all bases. I will post more of his videos in the future due to his great knowledge base, so look forward to that. The video below is a perfect example of a bodyweight workout that can be done anywhere at any time. Use it if you need it and learn something from one of the great.
