With so many forms of information out there bombarding our senses with various miracle products and quick fix schemes, one would think that the library would be a safe haven for us innocent souls. How possibly could that friendly old lady working behind the counter wearing the seasonal print vest be a conveyor of misinformation? She could be if she recommends some of the truly ignorant and deceptive nutrition and diet books that are available at any of our local libraries. Like the gentleman in the video states, it amazes me that some of these books make it to the bookshelves. This video really does an excellent job stated exactly why they do get published and how they can totally confuse the average Joe & Joan trying to just lose some extra weight. This video is long , but well worth the viewing. Be patient and learn something from this one. I did and so can you.

Although it may not quite feel like summer here in the mid-west, it is technically that time of the year. Time to pull out the beach slippers, big umbrellas and the coolers with something refreshing in them. This is a typical day at the beach for most. Many don’t think of the beach as a prime place for an excellent workout. But it is! There are many unconventional routines that can be done that will bring a whole new perspective to your workout and give you a great change of scenery, not to mention getting some sun in your system. This video below, done with kids no less, gives a great set of drills that can be done with a simple hill. Many beaches have these simple inclines that are great for resistance and endurance based exercise. This video has completely inspired me to really up my hill sprinting game by adding some of the variations shown. Now if I could just get the mid-west weather to bless me with an acceptable beach climate, I might be able to get that started. Oh well, patience is a virtue. Enjoy the video anyway.

Getting a peek inside the sometimes secret culture of bodybuilding can be equated to gawkers at a traffic accident. It may seem to many as a lifestyle of freaky, obsessive compulsive, testosterone filled mutants. Although much of the industry is flooded with drug addicts and deceptive messages, there are real life stories and accomplishments made by real people. Raising the Bar 2 is a documentary about this exact way of life. It diaries the struggles from gym to stage for these extreme athletes. It also speaks on the subject of diet and reveals some of the secrets that these fitness junkies hold so dear. These are just samples of the entire documentary. Savor them. If you wanna see the whole movie, I will see what I can do for my special viewers. Enjoy.

Being a bodybuilder is a 24/7 lifestyle that is not for the faint of heart. The disciplines involved are not only a test of will power, but more an assessment on an individuals constitution. The concept of eating is totally rearranged into that of a mutant feeding pattern that wouldn’t satisfy a prisoner of war. With that being said, to add on a feature of vegan-ism, would just be insane. I flat out wouldn’t have believed that there would be a culture of vegan bodybuilders. Of course being who I am, not only did I find them, I am posting a couple of the videos and a link to there website so you can actually see their physics and read about how they manage this feat while restricting their diets in this extreme manner. The site is called Vegan Bodybuilding.Com and it’s a window into a surprisingly competitive world of super natural bodybuilding. I, being a vegetarian, do understand the struggle, but to be a vegan and pursue this field is phenomenal. Enjoy the video and see some real discipline in action.

Welcome to the finale of the famous or infamous documentary, “The Man Whose Arms Exploded”. See what closure all the characters in this amazing tale come to and see if they all even lived to tell their story. This is a documentary I should have posted a long time ago. Being a fitness nut myself, this made me totally reconsider many of my own ideas on exercise. I often over train and have a tendency to ignore pain for the sake of gain. This movie, if nothing, will make you analyze how consumed you are with your fitness and if everything you are doing is healthy. Ther is a lot to take from this film. Once you start watching, you won’t want to stop. Enjoy and look for more fitness movies on the way.

Fitness is an amazing subject that effects 100% of the worlds population. The human body is an astonishing machine that in it’s worse condition, can be almost monster like in appearance. Yet conversely, in it’s most optimal condition, it’s considered a work of art. It’s this strive for “art” or perfect that drive some to unhealthy extremes. This documentary is one of the most widely watched and informative giving a peek into the secret society of steroids. Although this is an older documentary and steroid use has no doubt advanced, we are still taking about the same drugs that produced the “Man Whose Arms Exploded”. This will be a 5 part documentary that I will post in 3 section. Get some popcorn, and bring anyone who is or ever considered steroid use. They may think against what they previously believed.

If you read the previous article, you got a great list of how to eat so that you can achieve that lean fit body that you have always aspired to. The one consideration that many don’t take into account is the financial burden that eating healthy can weigh on a person on a fixed income. By the way, isn’t everyone still on a fixed budget? Silly me, I forgot the world economy is still in the bathroom purging all waste from the last 8 years (sorry for the rant). Even though the terms eating healthy and eating economically are dynamic opposites, there are some ideas that can help ease the pain of the checkout counter. This video will hopefully give some new insight on how eating healthy doesn’t necessarily have to be unhealthy for your pocket book. Enjoy.

Top 10 reasons to loose weight, top 5 ab exercises and the infamous 8 ways to get that physique you’ve always wanted. Look and sound familiar. These are not so original examples of the many not so original top list that dominate internet blogs and text driven websites all over the Worldwide Web. These list have been done until there probably isn’t any doing left for someone making a valiant effort to be original. Although this idea has been beaten to death, it is popular for one distinct reason. We like them. The reason we like is because they get straight to the point. You get right to the proverbial meat and potatoes of the subject at hand. Because of this, i theorize that these will always be a staple of the internet. Today, here at the Street Workout Blog, we are serving up a heaping helping of meat and potatoes in the form of 7 Nutritional Fundamentals For Losing Fat by Dr. Clay. This is keeping with the theme of nutrition all this week. Enjoy the video and eat right.
